Nihao Story helps families keep language close by turning bilingual reading into a simple nightly ritual.
We are building Nihao Story for heritage families who want Chinese or Korean to feel present at home, even when daily life makes formal lessons hard to sustain. Our starting point is simple: children return to stories they love, and families are more likely to keep going when reading together feels warm instead of like homework.
Story first, language second
Every Nihao Story book is designed to work as a real bedtime story first. The language tools sit around the story: English alongside Chinese or Korean, pronunciation support, and audio for the moments when a parent wants backup.
Built for the in-between parent
Many parents can speak a language they cannot confidently read. Nihao Story is for that exact family moment: a child is curious, a parent wants to pass something on, and both need a gentle way to begin.
Responsible creation
We use technology to make more stories possible, but not to remove judgment. Story concepts, language quality, cultural details, and child-appropriate reading experiences should be reviewed with care before they reach families.
